MIF’s Covid-19 response

An Important Message to our Customers

March 25, 2020: By order of Governor Janet Mills regarding non-essential businesses, the FAA testing center will be closed until further notice.

Maine Instrument Flight, like all companies, is concerned with the unprecedented challenge that our nation is facing due to coronavirus (COVID-19). Please be assured that during this time of uncertainty, the health and safety of our customers and our team is our highest priority.

As an FBO, we are considered an essential business and will remain open to those who need us, but by order of our Governor Janet Mills regarding non-essential businesses the FAA testing center will be closed as of March 25, 2020, until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and health for all of our employees and our customers.

To minimize risk while continuing to fulfill your travel needs, Maine Instrument Flight employees will continuously monitor their health and communicate any concerns with company leadership. If an employee develops a fever, cough or other symptoms, they will be directed to self-isolate and will be excluded from work until cleared by appropriate authorities. Additionally, employees who suspect they have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 will also be excluded from working whether they exhibit any symptoms or not until they are cleared to return to duty. Finally, Maine Instrument Flight will ensure the common touchable surfaces in our office, in the FAA/PSI testing center, and on our aircraft are sanitized before and after being used.

For your part, Maine Instrument Flight asks you to please postpone your travel plans to a later date if you (or any of your travel partners) believe you may be experiencing symptoms such as a fever or cough, or if you suspect you may have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19. With these steps, we believe we will all be doing our part to keep everyone healthy and safe.

Thank you for being a Maine Instrument Flight customer. We wish you and your loved ones good health.
